The beginning…

I remember the exact moment I first heard the term ‘trans’. I was nineteen years old, sitting in a psychology class, watching a documentary on transgender children. I recall wondering if these children were real? I’d never heard of such a thing as not identifying with ones gender – could that be a real issue? The children seemed so sure of themselves. I also remember thinking that this would be my very worst fear as a parent. How would I handle that? How would I know for sure what to do? Fast forward fifteen years, and here we are. I’m sitting down to write a blog that will hopefully help others going through what we have experienced, and tell others our story. Hopefully our story, and struggles will help some beautiful soul out there who needs it. Please feel free to comment or contact us if we can be of any help to you. We don’t have all the answers, but we will walk through this journey with you. Hopefully our story inspires you, challenges you, or at least sheds light on a perspective different than your own. Here is our story.
